Sing…Sing a Song… is a book about a family of birds and a little boy that plays the guitar. In this book two of the three birds start the song by effortlessly singing, and while the third has trouble letting his voice be heard. A small boy then comes along and tells the bird that it doesn’t matter how complex or good the song is, all that matters is that you be happy and sing. After this the bird goes on to live a happy life with his friends.

          This book can be extremely helpful for very young musicians as it is very simple and also portrays a good message. The lack of complex words and the addition of a cd, with song included, make a well rounded book that can will succeed in encouraging students to feel comfortable with music.
