In Zin! Zin! Zin! A
Violin, author Lloyd Moss names the many types of ensembles, based on the
number of instrumentalists. Moss’s text is easy and fun to follow with rhyming words.
Marjorie Priceman’s illustrations provide clear examples of the instruments
being named in Moss’s text. This book is a great read for beginning
instrumentalists. With the use of descriptive words and musical terms, Zin! Zin! Zin! A Violin will broaden the
reader or student’s music vocabulary and educate them about attending concerts.
After reading Zin! Zin! Zin! A Violin, a
young instrumentalist’s concert experience and ensemble experience will be more
vivid and clear.
