Bertha and the Frog Choir, by Luc Foccroulle, is a playful book about Bertha and Lucy the frogs, and their crazy choir audition day. After each having a having not so successful auditions, the two devise a plan that will help make them both appear to be successful. Before long, Bertha and Lucy have get in a disagreement which the choir master overhears. Their hoax was found out! In the end both frogs get to do something they’re both talented at and the day is a success. This book is perfect for elementary school children and encouraging them to join a choir or start singing. The inside of the front and back covers include a song that the teacher and students can sing together out loud. It includes notation, but also has instructions to sing to the tune of “Frere Jacques”, a familiar and well known tune that 

children can easily join in singing.
