Bravo! Brava! A Night at the Opera- Behind the Scenes with
Composers, Cast, and Crew
By Anne Siberell
This book is by far one of the most fun and factual reads.
It is formatted like a chapter book, however the pages are wide and colorful
drawing compose the edges of the pages. This book truly covers all aspects of
an opera including the timeline of opera from 16th-20th
century and even the many composers of opera and a map to highlight where each
composer is from. Furthermore, this book covers the roles during an opera
including the backstage with the lighting directors, upholsters, scenic
artists, etc. With the clear layout of the book and well illustrated pictures,
readers should be prepared to learn almost all aspects of opera from
definitions to composers to roles on stage.
