Pete the Cat: I love my white shoes by Eric Litwin is the story about a cat who loves his shoes even when they get messed up or dirty. It's written in a song form. The song has funny text and bright colored pictures that many younger students will enjoy. There's even a free song that you can download that you can have the students sing along to. This would be a great book for elementary students when introducing early music to them. It's a great read and they'll want to re-read it multiple times. It's a great story that also teaches children an important message. Never lose your cool and just "go with the flow.
