Storm
Song by Nancy Viau
This
story is a great book to teach children about music, diction, and rhythm.
It is about three children and their mother and the things they hear and do
during a storm. Such things include hearing the wind hiss, the rain patter, or their mother
popping popcorn for them to snack on. The book does a great job of writing a
text where the children reading it would have a fun short tongue twister. It
can also help kids practice their diction which is an important tool for choir. It
also encourages children to listen to the world around them to pick up new
sounds as beautiful music.
