Violet's Music, written by Angela Johnson and illustrated by Laura Huliska-Beith, is a book that takes you through Violet's life until about 10 years old. Her journey begins in a hospital where she plays with a rattle and can't get music out of her head. As she grows up, her love for music grows stronger, but she struggles to find people that are like her: people that enjoy and want to make music.
