Phoebe Nah- In the Fiddle is a Song

In the Fiddle is a Song is a book about hidden potential. It is a pop-up book and gives examples of how even the most seemingly ordinary things can serve an important purpose. Some of the first comparisons are “In the clay.. is a pot waiting to be shaped” and “In the wheat.. is bread waiting to be baked”. The use of rhyme also keeps kids engaged and also helps them to remember the content. The last page says “In you.. is a story waiting to be told”, which helps children to connect the meaning of the rest of the book to their own lives. The use of pop-ups also make the book much more interesting to read and compel children to read until the end to see what different pictures and examples there are. This book would be wonderful for children who have lower self esteem or struggle with a big changes in their lives.
