Quinten Breach - Musical Instruments: Brass

     Wendy Lynch, the author of Musical Instruments - Brass, takes the next step in developing a young student's literacy proficiency. This book can be considered for more experienced toddlers that are departing the early childhood stage. Lynch's book not only provides a great deal of information for the audience but also introduces young individuals to sections (which leads to chapters), a glossary and index. However, while this book has the tenacity to explain trumpets, trombones and when and where brass instruments are used to perform, Lynch fails to include the entire brass family (trumpet, trombone, horn, euphonium and tuba) to the developing audience. Despite this lack of information, Musical Instruments - Brass does a great job at informing young children the basics of some brass instruments and in the setting they are used in.
