Julie Downings book, Lullaby and Goodnight, Songs for Sweet Dreams, is a great book to read to younger children. Children love lullaby's and this book is a great way to introduce them to music and singing. The book has fourteen different lullaby's and the author has supplied each one with a different melody line. Many children will know several of this so they will be familiar to them. This will make them more comfortable with learning the others that they don't know. The book is full of color and pictures that will be a great visual simulator for children. This book would be great for children in kindergarten who are starting to understand reading and how to read.
