Tuba Lessons- Austin Coe
Tuba Lessons by T.C. Bartlett and Monique Felix is a funny little children's book that teaches musical students about the importance of dynamics. The book is about a young musical student who is going to his tuba lesson. However, the boy gets distracted by many different things on his way to his tuba lesson. He climbs trees, jumps over rivers, and plays with animals. When the boy meets the animals, music notes come out of them when they speak. Small music notes come out of small animals and large music notes come out of large animals. The last animal the boy meets is a bear who has the largest music note of all the animals. This gives a visual representation to children when teaching them about dynamics and the difference between soft sounds and loud sounds. With some great story telling this can be a great book for beginning musical students who are visual and aural learners.
