The book closes by discussing who plays the flute, how one would learn to play the flute, and various recordings to listen to. There is also a timeline of flute history and glossary for those who need help with some of the bolded vocabulary words. I believe that this text could be useful in a 2nd or 3rd grade classroom to not only help students decide which instrument that they want to play in band or orchestra, but also in learning some vocabulary associated with their possible instrument. This book is a good way to gauge which words are too difficult for young students to understand and helps a teacher know which words to spend more time on. Additionally, the book contains a small portion about flutes around the world, promoting inclusivity within the classroom.
