Quinten Breach - Tina Turner: Center Stage

Considered one of the most influential characters of the mid to late 19th century pop era, Tina Turner has always been known to command a room when performing. In the children's biography written by Teresa Koenig, it is stated that Turner's style of singing varies with high or low amounts of energy depending on the type of performance or song. "Singing and performing live is what Tina does best," Koenig writes. Another comment given is the simplistic life that Turner lives, with her not wearing makeup or "fancy costumes" when not performing. All in all, this book can be considered a late-beginner/early-intermediate reading level for students that are also beginning their pre-K/Kindergarten coursework.
