The story uses a consistent structural rhythm which will allow for quick identification of patterns in the story, both in theme and text. The diction is occasionally heightened slightly above its intended audience of late early readers, but does so with plenty of context, allowing for easier acquisition of the ideas/terms. Furthermore, these words are consistently valuable to understanding the musical traditions associated with a violin, and in being able to distinguish them. This is a great resource for introducing musical concepts in a whimsical fashion, but still allowing for free thought and exploration.
