Emily Dahowski- The Beatles

Mike Venezia takes the reader through a journey of the creation and upcoming to fame by the popular British band, The Beatles.  The book starts off with describing the genre of rock music and explains that Rock and Roll was around before The Beatles hit the music scene.  Afterward, the book goes into on each of the band members life and how they became interested and involved with music.  When they were discovered by Brian Epstein, the band was finally signed to a label.  With a combination of photographs and funny comics, the illustration add to the story line and further the understanding of the Beatles Success within the music industry.  This book would be most beneficial in an elementary general music classroom during a unit on Popular Musicians.
