Drums
Cynthia Klingel and Robert B. Noved
This book is at a very low reading level, and I would assign
it to a student in the first or second grade as part of a nonfiction reading
assignment. There are no more than fifteen words per page, and the words are no
more than three syllables long. This book offers some extremely basic knowledge
about drums, but doesn’t go into any real depth. There are so many different
kinds of drums around the world, and this book says that you can make a
“rat-a-tat” sound I am not impressed with this book as a whole, and would not
assign it as a reading for my class in the future. It doesn’t offer enough
knowledge to be useful outside of a very young classroom.
