Rebecca Panitch - Sing with Me! by Naoko Stoop

This book provides multiple children’s songs accompanied with colorful illustrations. The songs are short, so they typically take up just a page which makes it easy to read and easy to see the illustrations. Also, there are directions at the bottom of the pages with songs that instruct children to dance along with the music. There are specific body movements the children would do with the songs, and I think that would definitely help them with associating movement and melody together. I would definitely use this book to an elementary-aged class where I would sing the songs in the book and the students could sing along as well. I think it’s important for kids to start singing and becoming involved in music at an early age, and this book can provide a great way to get kids to start singing and comprehending what they’re singing.
